New is good (I guess).

Yes the change is good. This will only get better when we start to get settled in. Many new improvments that step up to the plate. My only negative on it is, I MISS THE COLORS. It does look like the others now does'nt it ?

I miss the button that locates all my posts, the darn thing doesn't remeber what view you were in last visit and you're right, it looks like all the others.

Older was better

Seems strange since I'm not an admin on this computer at work and couldn't install anything wthout permission if I wanted to.
I have run the various scanners for ads malware etc... nothing is amiss on my side.
Also looks like I'm not the only one with these issues, maybe we all got the bug from the same place?

That only works if you can find one of your posts to click on your screen name. If you sign in to the home page and then go to the user control panel there is no way to get to your posts from there. I agree with guardrail, we need a button so we can see all of our posts.

And yes, I know about subscribing to threads. But that's not the answer, I don't want to subscribe to every thread I post in. I subscribe only to threads that contain info I want to save for future reference.

Might as well add to the whine-fest. Must be gettin' crotchety in my old age, but I sure don't appreciate having to fumble around for 15 minutes before I can even post at a forum that I've been visiting for several years.

But, I reckon I'll be just fine in a few more visits. ;-)

Edited, OK, I found my cheese again. I will not grumble anymore.
I like the extra functionality, but I agree, it looks like every other friggin board now. I want the cheese back too. How'd you get it back???

I'm trying to fix your signature for you. Still having trouble with the link.

If your username changed from the old site, shoot a PM to dascrow and he can fix it for you. Just let him know what your display name was on the old site.

Even the moderators are struggling a bit with the new format.

Don't you see the little green check mark at the beginning of a thread? Just click on that and it will take you to the first new post, if there is one.

I'm looking forward to hearing about all these changes...what happened and why etc. I'm liking what I see so far, but we'll see how it goes over the next while as to how everything works!

Who is now the owner, and why was the forum sold anyway? What kind of rule changes might be changed, as the old rules where pretty draconian?

Thanks...welcome...and best of luck to the new owner!!
