06 6.0 with superchip tuner rough idle

I just put on the tuner in performance mode and the first couple days it was ok now it's hard to start and takes about 20 minutes to warm up and run right. It's not cold but it acts like its 40 below 0 and chockes and sputters until its hot. What the???????? any ideas?

Which Superchips tuner are you using? First, remove the tuning and see if it goes away. If so, then connect your tuner to your PC and make sure you have the latest update. Also, call Superchips, they can be extremely helpful.

I have the Cortex tuner and am quite happy (well over a year).

Make sure you update your Cortex before you reprogram your truck.

1st get rid of the superchip cortex tuner. its not a bad tuner for your tranny but has no power compared to the bullydog pmt which sucks for your tranny!!! i am getting ready to get the sct that everyone raves about. i have been a little stand offish because i have already dropped a nice dime between the superchip cortex and the bullydog pmt but my buddie let me download his on my truck with the canned tunes and i was very impressed. it gives at least the power of the bullydog, maybe more and is very very smooth on the tranny. plus the custom tunes are the way to go. my buddie has the same truck as me but he has the sct with custom tunes and leaves me pretty good. when the canned tune is installed i can hang with him with my bullydog so the custom tunes definatly make a huge difference. i am going to get the sct x3 and keep the pmt for my gauges. i do not like the look of the sct livewire and its cheaper to keep the pmt rather then buy other guages.

I have used the superchips flashpaq, and had a similar problem, uninstalled it from truck, and updated it, and problem went away....BTW the bullydog is horrible for your tranny.

if you read my reply that is exactly what i said about the bullydog and why i am upgrading to an sct. again the superchip is great but you do not get anywhere near the power compared to the other programmers out there. i am talking night and day difference. when i went from my superchip to the bullygod i thought i had got a new motor but also thought WOW!!! my tranny wont last to long like this. my friends truck (05, same as mine, same mods execpt tuner) sct kicks my butt and his stock tranny is smooth as can be.
