The Build date on my truck was 12/05. So maybe that was part of the problem

Where can one find the build date? Is it on the sticker on the valve cover?

Re: 2006 Head gasket replaced @ 28,000

Ask your self one question. Am I doing something that is causing these problems, i.e., driving, payload or hauling habits? If the answer is, yes then figure out what and why, then do something about it.
If the answer is no. then find a new dealer.

Unless you are causing the problems you should not have a daisy-chain series of problems. If you do, you should be talking to the dealer about a new engine or replacement truck.
Key wording is daisy chain series of problems.

When you get your truck back or before you take it to the dealer again; take it to reputable outside mechanic. Ask that person to diagnose the problem or evaluate the engine. It just may be the best $20 to $40 bucks you ever spent. Don’t tell the dealer what you did or what you found. Dealer do not have to acknowledge any diagnoses’ from anyone other then another like dealer. All you will do is piss them off.
However, you will know if they are jerking you around, weather or not they are competent, and if you need to find a new dealer or not.
Before you start anything. Make sure you have written documentation from the dealer on what problems you brought your truck in for, what they found and what did on each visit. If you don’t nicely request it.
Good luck
