Can anyone help me with find a Automatic Idol Air Control (AIC)for my new truck? I had one in my old truck but can't seem to find one for my new one. My old one for my 7.3L was a factory part and the guys at the parts counter can't find a late model virsion.

You already have it installed on your '06, sorta, you just need to hook it up. Do a search for SEIC, and you can find out how to do it. BTW, now they call it Stationary Elevated Idle Control (SEIC).

Here you go - SEIC - Takes about 10 minutes to do. If you have the upfitter switches, you can use one of them.

Re: 2006 Superduty 6.0L Automatic Idol Air Control
I used a 4-5" piece of 18 ga, a butt connector and spade terminals. I hooked #4 to the BCP and added a spade terminal to the SEIC so it is easy to reach under to switch. I'm testing out which my Dad prefers. I just did it to night and the BCP varies idle dependent on battery state, this may be helpful for jump starting equipment, We'll probably find out Mon. It is annoying. I just wish I had added the second extension and spade connector to the #3 switch to have both.
Hit the link and do it, you'll be happy.
Now if it were that easy on my '02
Re: 2006 Superduty 6.0L Automatic Idol Air Control
So, once I find the correct wire for the high idle, does it just need 12 volts to work? I don't have the upfitter switches. The way I'm understanding it, the SEIC wire only needs a 12 volt switched source to work. Am I correct?
