Dont know if this is the right place to post this or not but here it goes. I am going to be in a bumper to bumper truck pull this weekend with my 6.0 F350 crew and am wondering if anyone has any cheap or free mods that can be done to get an advantage(and dont tell me to weld tractor weights to my front bumper)that can be undone afterward. I am going in the 7500# class, and this is a street truck pull.
Make sure it weighs as absolute much as you can without going over. Do you have to have an even chain up point? If not hook up so it is higher on your truck than the other guy. If you must have a straight chain, put any extra weight in the bed.

The maximum hitch height is 26" and i am going to go in at maximum weight 7500#. I am running 35" Goodrich Mud T/A's...whats a good tire pressure for those on a clay track?
I'll second that. Dropped a drive-shaft on my 2001 350 on 36 Fun Countrys. Got a 306 foot pull but lost it at the end. Just had to pull the drive shaft off and drove home in front wheel drive.

Well, heres what happened. I was wining my heats, but just barely. Wheelhop was terrible! The trick was getting the jump on the other guy. Then i pulled against another Ford that had 39" Super Swampers and he just barely pulled me. Almost all of the pulls were less than a foot, nobody could really hook up and dominate. The guy that nocked me out ended up winning the class. I think if i were to block my suspension and get rid of the wheelhop, that might give me an edge. Power wasnt an issue,i could get 100 mph wheel speed if i wanted, the problem was horrendous wheelhop!! I'm going to try my hand at pulling a sled next month at our county fair,so i am open for suggestions on that one.
