6,000# tow with the quadzilla 160 hp Module

Wow, what a total package.
First, shifting.
It's super in 3 out of 4 positions. The fourth feels fine but I am honestly afraid to find out, fearing breakage.
The thing is a total rocketship, and I think that the 160 position of pure trouble for those who do not respect their transmissions. The torque going into the input shaft has to be serious. The shifts are great Quad, good job!

Power..
I towed 90% of the 200 miles with the 160 position. The power at 75MPH and above had to make those I was passing to do a double take...
How does it run? Well, my tailpipes are totally black from soot, and that never happened before so you can imagine the fuel it's being fed!

Mileage?
Who cares!

I would personally recommend that anybody using this module to change their oil every 3,000 miles. She puts out a lot of smoke, so the soot can't be far behind.
This module received George C's stamp of approval!

OK Quad, enough power.. Quit tempting me..

George- I would imagine Quad would recommend not towing in 160 mode due to the advanced timing, but I could be wrong.

To quote you it runs like a raped ape doesn't it?

Oh, I know he wouldn't approve, but I just couldn't resist the temptation to see.
EGTs were pretty easy to maintain with the DPPI and PG-7 too.

In the furure, I will tow in position "3". That little position has some serious grunt too!.

Re: 6,000# tow with the Quadzilla 160 hp Module

I'm telling you Richard, you would give your personal "OK" to the shifts.

I've been out driving it all around tonight in the number 3 out of four position, and the shifts are perfect.
The 160 mode is impossible to use in town. Much too loud and fast.

Re: 6,000# tow with the Quadzilla 160 hp Module

Oh yeah, it's even good in the high mode.
The shifts are still a little different, but that's to be expected when you're burning rubber..

You know, I never thought I would say this, but this almost too much power. Actually, the 160 is way too touchy to use around town.

Wish I had the nerve to make this mod! Being fairly new to diesel and having a great running truck already, I just can't talk myself into it...yet!

You guys are killing me with all this talk of HP.

Re: 6,000# tow with the quadzilla 160 hp Module

GeorgeC,
Glad to hear of your good luck!! I've had enough bad luck with shifting (edge w/attitude) and now programming issues (predator will not re-flash factory code, or any other performance flash for that matter!). I'm really interested in the Quad box. Anyone particular I should talk to about purchasing on of these? Thanks for you input!

I've run the Power Hound, the Predator, and Instigator. Looks like it might now be time to give Quad a call.
