After market exhaust, advantages?

Have an 05 F250 with Volant intake. What advatages does an after market exhaust give?

You're not gonna notice the small power gain with the 8,000lb truck, but if put get a programmer, which adds fuel, which raises exhaust temps., then you have to get a larger and smoother flowing exhaust to lower the temps.

Yup, that's it. EGT's did drop for sure and it does sound alot better than stock, especially when you are "on it"... Can't say there was any HP or Torque increase that was noticeable anyway and MPG's didn't budge at all either...

Small HP gain, removes all factory restrictions, lowers exhaust and above all sounds awesome.
