Seems that rouch dosent even know the vehicle they are making the air filter for. Clearly the 7.3 and 6.0 are different. The 6.0 wasn't even made in 02. Regaurdless of the claims they only make more power above 3700rpms. That is well above a stock 6.0 even with a tuners power band. If you want a honest opinion I would spend $300 bucks tward 08 tow mirrors, 08 center console, tuner, pretty much anything else. If you want one then get it.

Thanx for the info, I guess its just another one of those paying for the name type things. So stock intake seems to be the way to go, what about the elbow or mainifold? Is it worth the money to help with anything spool up like it claims?

I live about a mile down a dirt road in AZ. After 35,000 miles my stock air filter has not moved the filter-minder. The filter has been out and inspected twice. Not very dirty each time. Bottom line is stock filter is not expensive when you factor the amount of miles you get out of it. I will replace it at 50K just for the hell of it. My advice is to keep the filter system stock and monitor your filter-minder. If you want a fancy intake manifold, just get one that allows you to use the stock setup.

the stock filter can hols 3.5+ lbs of dirt ans still flow effectively. yes they are bulky and expensive but they are rated for 100k service. mine had 110k when i changed it and it wasnt that bad compated to the new one.

Agreed, when I bought my truck that was the first thing I bought, a Volant Ram Air and 6 months later I threw it in my tool box and put the stock back in. My egts went up with the volant and I didnt like seeing that on my gauges, I think i wanted a new cool looking part under the hood than anything else. Stock is def better, I'm in the 82nd Airborne and the MRAPs even use Donaldson Top-Spins, things last forever.
Stock is best but a PITA to change. If you're a person who just has to mod things, I'll give you my advice. Stay away from S&B and if you have a ScanGauge that will tell you why. After just a few seconds at a traffic light, the intake air temperature will increase rapidly (even with the Zoodad mod). This is due to the very thin S&B housing. I then decided to go with the whole Banks system. Even after stopped for a long time, the intake air temp remains much closer to the outside air temp. This is due to the very hefty housing that the Banks intake has. So, aside from filtration numbers, the construction of the housing is also important. Being able to get at the actual filter is also something to consider.

I have an S&B...Looks nicer than stock, and easier to change. Worth the money? No. And performance or mileage gains? None. Just a slightly different whistling sound.

AFE for me didnt see any improvement but i did save the 35$ for the filter replacment AFE is a pull out and clear and re-install not a paper waste worth it if you dont want to replace your filter all the time

i agree with indiansprings the stage "2" filter systems are junk get a stock set up after market one that is set up just like the stock one but with a reusable filter that has more CFM flow then stock
