Anybody else missing the firewall plug

I am in the middle of installing my gauges from Diesel manor and when I got to the part where you have to pop out the firewall plug, it wasn't there. Just a goop covered piece of foil on the engine side. Anybody else have this? Did you just get one from an auto store?

Thanks

MItch

there should be a large, oval, plastic "grommet" right behind the P brake pedal on the firewall...it's easy to drill and drag wiring/tubing through and comes out in a convienient spot in the engine compartment..

if not, get a grommet from the auto part store...

Not sure how many wires are involved... but is anyone forgetting the 4 blunt cut customer access wires?

i bet the boost tube and thermocouple lead for his gauges are what he's trying to get into the cab...

Yes it is the boost tube and wires from the gauges to the sensors or vise versa. There is supposed to be a rubber grommet there but nope. There is a hole. There is a cover in front with the sound padding. But no firewall grommet. I guess I will have to get one Sunday. Thats a bummer because I really wanted to finish tonight.

redrider29, I ran into the same problem when installing my guages. I found a place online that sells a plug that will work but I had to buy 50 of them. If you PM me your mailing address, I'll send a few of them to you.

Thanks for the offer but I just made one from some scrap metal I had and put in two rubber grommets for the wires to run through.
