Anybody using Boost Cooler on 6.0L

Just interested in if anybody is using a boost cooler on there 6.0L.I'm getting ready to install one this weekend on my 6.0L.This system is a water/methanol injection system that increases horsepower to 70hp on 6.0l and lowers EGT's 200 degrees.

Re: Anybody using Boost Cooler on 6.0L

Umm, see that big honking radiator-looking thing with the big ducts running to and from it? That's the charge air cooler (CAC). Its job is to cool the compressed air from the turbo before it's ingested by the engine.

Save your money, you already have a "boost cooler".

Re: Anybody using Boost Cooler on 6.0L

Lol. Not quite the same thing that he is getting. The water will lower egts and the methanol will give more power.

Be careful with that stuff.

Re: Anybody using Boost Cooler on 6.0L

Pros: More power, lower Egts,

Cons: Too much meth will blow up your engine.

I stay away from drugs. Some people use them with great success though.

Re: Anybody using Boost Cooler on 6.0L

Boost Cooler is now installed and man my truck ran real good before this upgrade, but now it runs like a rocket.I'm currently running 50% water and 50% methanol and my EGT's lowered about 220 degrees and the power is awesome. I would recommend this system to anyone and for any application used.Very satisfied with this system.

Yeah I was going to say something but I have no experience in the area. Be careful, you don't want a 10K mistake.

I, as others will say, would stay around 30% max . With the programmer your running your risking your HG and you'll start puking coolant . I'm running 30% max but I stay there for the sakes of my Page Ranking rod's .

[/ QUOTE ]What he said! I've run
the water/meth on my '04. Your mix needs to be about 65% water and 35%
meth. I tried different combos and found this to be the best. I had this in conjunction with the Edge w/att, exhaust, intake etc.

Calling it "Boost Cooler" sure makes water/meth injection sound pretty. It's still drugs.

I love just water, ran it all summer for the EGT drop, but in the winter I have been running W/F because I dont want to frezze up. Not much HP bump on straght water but a very safe way to control your EGT's when towing!
