Anyone done the walker big truck muffler on a 6.0?

Has anyone done this muffler swap? And if you did what gains/benefits to did you see? Were there any problems?

No problems whatsoever...

did the full turboback on the 03 Ex (among MANY other things) and not sure why, but just got the $60 lifetime warranty BTM @ the local auto parts...
brought it to my local Mom and Pop (or more Fernando & Maria) exhaust shop with the pics of the correct install and they installed it and a nice chrome tip for another $60...

Nice, not too loud, mellow tone...

I don't have gauges, so I can't verify, but others have said it lowered egt's on average about 250 degrees....
and safe enough for the xCal and my driving !

Re: Anyone done the walker big truck muffler on a 6.0?

Thanks for the info.! That's what I'm getting ready to do. I just installed a cold air kit and just ordered a SCT Excal-3. I'm not wanting to install gauges just yet(fearful of warranty issues). It's an '06 F-350 SRW 4x4 reg. cab only 10k miles. It's averaging 13.5 miles to the gallon. I'm a little disappointed with the current mileage. I hoping for better mileage with the mods.

Re: Anyone done the walker big truck muffler on a 6.0?

I gotta ask Fuzzy...... you're doing a CAI, Exhaust, AND an XCal3 and you're worried about your warrenty b/c of the GUAGES? I wouldn't put the XCal3 on W/O the guages. Esp. if you're going to be running a higher h.p. program. They can't void your warrenty b/c of guages. They can easily b/c of the CAI and exhaust and SCT, but not guages. Well, they can void your turbo warreny if the thermocouple breaks and goes into the turbo and destroys it, but you've almost got a better chance winning the Lotto than that happening.

Re: Anyone done the walker big truck muffler on a 6.0?

Well Harley,

I am concerned about the thermocouple and the dealer discovering it. I'm assuming that the dealer would see it a a big red flag. And wonder why a thermocouple was added. The CAI and Xcal3 can be returned to stock fairly quickly. And I did the Big truck muffler swap and retained most of the stock exhaust system except the muffler which is a flow thru.
