Anyone using a programmer

Ive found 2 that claim better HP and mileage. Any thoughts on them? This is my first diesel and I would like a little more acceleration and fuel economy would be nice also

Re: Anyone using a programmer

Do some reading on programmer related head gasket failures before pulling the trigger. Ya Ya, head gaskets (bolt) failures can occur without a programmer but if your concerned at all in doing what you can to maintain any degree of reliability, skip the programmer ( and the cold air intake, exhaust, propane, etc.....) The 6.0L has enough weaknesses.

Re: Anyone using a programmer

Pay no attention to Beavis, read here about the hundreds of 6.0's that have no problems at all, are chipped to the hilt, and have 100K+ miles on them. SOME of the 6.o's had issues, most did not. When your done, go with the SCT from DJ, or innovative. You will not regret it.

You can get STD programs from SCT also, but most choose to go custom to have the truck tuned to their exact likeing.

Even faster......

And save your money on the intake. Read on here a while and you'll find a lot of guys disappointed in being parted from their money, and some even going back to the stock intake.

Re: Anyone using a programmer

Check out the Edge juice Platinum with A2 monitor. Lots of features and adjustability. It is more money but you get a lot more for it. You get what you pay for.
