ATS/SUNCOAST TRANNY OWNERS

Hi,
i just wanted to know how you guys like them and have there been any problems or drawbacks? i am in need of a new tranny and am prepared to drop cash if its worth it. any input aprectiated.

Suncoast 5R110 Extreem rebuild kit with tripple lock Tourque Converter (self installed)

Sounds like it has the famous solinoid problem? maybe the tranny you got from them still has the old revision solinoids? my truck also did this then they replaced the solinoids and all was well. i doubt the sct will do anything for the engagement problem. but i guess you never know. i also have a sct on order but no tranny to try it on yet! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

The First one sent "For get the word" would not work so Eric Next day airing me a New ,New Box with 3 tranny tunes with stack,Agressive stack,Max Power all with Trans updates so believe me I'll be letting everone Know! [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif[/img]

I have the SunCoast trans and heavy duty (there are 2) torque converter. Shifts are smooth, and I've been pounding on it since day 1 with no slips, etc. Joe at SunCoast sais it will take anything I can throw at it. I'm not going much further than I am now (maybe bigger injectors and a better turbo, but thats it). Joe is easy to work with.

I had the install done by a local diesel shop for $600 (trans and TC).

It's a good feeling knowing my tranny is solid. I wonder what is now the weak link?
