Banks Monster Exhaust

Good morning,I have recently purchased a Banks Monster exhaust turbo back system(4") for dirt cheap,my main reason is for lower egt's has anybody actually monitored this on there trucks or is this a $400 mistake.

Assuming you have it installed by now. Any impressions/feedback from the install or from driving the truck after install? I just ordered one myself and will be installing this weekend.

My main reasons for choosing this system were quietness, no drone as is reported with many other exhaust systems, lower EGTs (really only a concern with the truck camper), and perhaps a little increase in power and fuel economy.

Banks Monster exhaust turbo back system(4") for dirt cheap. If you do night mind sharing were you got it. I have been looking every were and keep getting prices in the 550.00 price range. I can do 400. now and would love to do this mod. Thanks

I too shopped around for a while and the best price I could find was from Auto Anything. $477 delivered. List was $561.17; then used a 15% online discount coupon on cyber Monday to knock off $84.18. Shipping was free too. Shouldn't be any sales tax if you're outside of CA.

My guess is that SLOF350 either got a smokin hot deal or he purchased his second hand.

I have the same set-up and its been on about 3 weeks now. I can't really tell a difference noise wise from stock unless you are starting or shutting the truck off. I am happy so far with it.

Just looked on auto anything prices have gone up to 606. i should have checked on cyber Monday.
Dang the luck.
Truck is going in next week for the big bullet proof thing was hoping to get my mechanic to take out old down pipe and install new down pipe so i still had original one in one piece. I was hoping since head was off he could take it out with out cutting it.
Turbo is getting cleaned at that time also. Cash is at a premium with all the work being done to truck. So i may have to wait if i do not find a killer deal. Like you guys have. Does anyone know the difference in the sports exhaust and the regular banks system? Thanks

Does anyone know with the heads off if he can get the down pipe out with out cutting it in case i ever need to use old system.

Yes, you can also move the trans cross member and get it out in one piece

You can also look on Ebay, that's what I did and then called them before I ordered to see if they could beat the price of some other company and they did so I bought from them

Hello everbody,sorry for not responding to the posts.I purchased the system from Banks directly they send me a news letter every once in a while and they had "dealer buy-back inventory" and the price was too good to be true.I have not installed it yet I sent the down pipe out to be ceramic coated and the extention pipe from the cat to be tig welded to eliminate a clamped joint.The tech at Banks told me that if I retain the cat that the interior drone should be a non issue.The one thing I also did was get rid of the clamps that came with it and replaced them with accu-seal band clamps just in case I have to pull it apart for some reason.I should have it installed over the holidays.I will repost and include some pics when done.

Hey thanks will go sign up. Truck is in the shop to get bullet proof system. Egr cooler oil cooler new radiator etc. So i have time thanks will see hope i get lucky as you did.

Installed my Banks Monster Exhaust last weekend. Very nice system. All the components fit well. Sound level is about the same as stock, with a slightly deeper tone. Very pleased!
