Beefing up FAQ

Hey Y'all

Let's beef up the 6.0 FAQ, stop before you move the post, the FAQ should be clean and concise, so the fact finding post should be here, and then condensed in FAQ.

I propose we have a Cheap/Free mods post, and Tech specs post (dimensions, weights, etc). I've seen this on jeep forums and its pretty cool.

What do you guys think?

I like the idea because then you don't have to search through a ton of posts and topics to find the right ans for you.

I think it would really clean up the forums and almost eliminate all the double post we do.

Right now it seems as though its easier to start a new topic then to sort through and find it.

Alex

Thats my vote ;-)

How to control Mirror heat; Here are the directions for hooking up the mirror heat to an upfitter switch. It is easiest to remove the four bolts that hold in the fuse panel and pull it forward. The wire you want is on the middle connector, on the back of the fuse panel. It is on the left side of the connector, second from the bottom. It is green with a purple strip. You can double check by hooking up a test light or meter and turning the ignition on. It will then show hot(12v). Next remove the fuse for the mirror heat and retest. If it is cold you know you have the right one. Cut the wire about an 1 1/2 inches from the fuse panel and strip both ends. Put a connector(bullet or butt) on the end coming from the wire harness and attach the other end to the upfitter wire one or two. I then took the other end coming out of the fuse box and attached a female bullet connector. This gives me another fused ignition on power source.
