I have a 05 6.0 and am looking for a under hood chip that plugs into the factory computer. Can any one give me their opinion on the best for reliably and safe hp without chancing waranty. I have gauges and cat back exhaust.

You chance you warranty with any tuner you put on whether it is one that writes over the factory program or one that plugs into your truck.

That is correct but there are always ways around it. We suggest you remove the tuner when you visit the dealership. Also ... go to a friendly dealership and be friendly at the dealerhsip.
Thanks for this report, one of the best I have seen. Wish the Banks could have been included, as I have had fantastic results with mine. On the dyno it did everything and more that was claimed, possible too, by the air improvements.

Find the mod friendly dealer first before you need them. If you go in to the dealer with a problem and they determine that you have had a tune on your truck and they are not mod friendly they can flag your truck and when you take it to a different dealer that is mod friendly they might be up against the wall with the repair because some other dealer flagged your truck for being altered and Ford might deny the warranty claim. Yes there are ways around it, but have a mod friendly dealer in mind before you need it.
