Apparently it's nothing new with the 6.0s. They sent me a new box, filter, and hardware to clear the hood at no charge. As for fuel economy I don't know yet because I have not ran a full tank through since the install. I expect maybe a little increase but may be do to the old filter being dirty after 20k miles compaired to the new one. Overall S&B seems to be a great product with a great company that backs up their word that I would recommend.

i would agree with all that.. especially about the company's rep and service..... the only reason i wont be gettin one soon is because of the $$$$ and i'm at college right now.. haha... money for college kids isnt easy to get as u may know

i like the AFE pro stage 2 guard 7. i believe they do r & d on their products. supposedly AFE stands for (all former employees)that used to work for k&n. i know the owner of the shop called Wide Open Throttle in southern california that does dyno runs for AFE for research, data, testing, etc. so just my 2 cents worth.

to be honest.. i think all aftermarket air systems are good.... because if they werent, they wouldnt still be in business.. the only reason i would get s&b is because they are a tad cheaper and CLAIM that the way they put the oil on the filter keeps it from gettin sucked off.......

K&N or fine for gas engines but run away from them for diesel applications. AFE are good, I had one till I bought a Ram air hood, then I went with an Airaid for the open top on it. Both are Good. As far as Tuner, to the guy that says banks is safer on his tranny....good luck with that. The SCT has way more power and is way safer on the tranny because it actually adjusts the tranny too. And for the guy that tows and wants to monitor, get an SCT X3, and an edge insight. The insight Monitors everything and looks real good on the pillar. That's my two cents.
