Best turbo back exhaust

I'm brand new here and want to say what a great source of info this site is. I'm new to diesels, and am on a steep learning curve.
I am planning to do so minor upgrades - program, exhaust, and air intake. My main question right now is "Which aftermarket exhaust has the most bang for the buck, and ease of install?" also, there are 2 grades of stainless that most of the exhaust systems are made from...what is the difference? I don't seem to see a lot of folks here using the Banks exhaust, is there a reason for other brands?
Thanks in advance for any help here -

Welcome to TDS!You'll find most people prefer MBRP, it's a nice system and easy to install. For the most part also you'll find Banks stuff is overpriced and overrated.I don't own any Banks parts but that's what I hear at TDS and from personal friends.

Welcome to the site! I also recommend MBRP. They offer three different materials as well as several different configurations depending on your wants/needs. MBRP kits fit, look, and sound great as well. The two grades of stainless are T409 and T304. T409 is the most commonly used as it offers great corrosion protection and comes with a lifetime warranty. You will develop some surface rust in time though. T304 is the higher grade and will never rust. It is also quite a bit more expensive. Check our website for more info and pricing. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

If you run a turbo back exhaust will you have inspection problems? I am in NJ if that matters... I am thinking about some gauges and an exhaust for my 04 6 speed.

The MBRP allows you to use your stock cat. You'll have no issues w/ inspection.

exactly the case, banks is overpriced for what it is... MBRP is the way to go, i got a 4" on mine they are fairly cheap and install takes an hour or less only because you gotta cut off the downpipe to take out the stock exhaust... anyways, mbrp performs and sounds great whether straightpiped (sounds better) or muffler (still sounds good)...

also with the inspection issues, im in florida so its not a problem, but if you need the cat for your state then you can order the 3.5" to 4" adapter clamps and just fit it back in...

The Banks Exhaust is only $450. Thats close to the MBRP price. And you don't need to cut the down pipe. But you may have to cut the converter. I have had 2 Banks exhaust and I like them. I'm getting my 3rd for the 06 I just bought. It isn't much louder than stock but will drop your EGT's . If you want a loud truck don't buy Banks.

I know Im not a 6.0 guy but Banks isn't that much more expensive than MBRP. I can get jobber cost on the MBRP and I still went with Banks because theres alot more R&D that goes into there products IMHO.

I went with the Magniflow turbo back dual exhaust system. Got the SCT tuner runing the Extreme street tune, K&N Air filter intake setup and Banks intercooler. Puts a big smile on my face everytime I punch it. Passengers get shoked as well.
