which is better, sct from innovative or new quad 160?
I have a 2005 6 liter crew cab 4x4 and was interested in new quad 160 and wanted to know how good it really is.i have read a lot of good things from the sct from innovative and wanted to compare them.

I can say for the Xillaraider that drivabillity is perfect. No quirks or odd happenings. The power is smooth and not edgy, very linear. So to drive in that setting everyday is no problem, even for a mild mannered driver. EGT's aren't out of control and towing moderatly hasn't been a problem in the upper modes.
To properly compare against the SCT you will have to pick one setting to compare against as none of the "tuners" allow changing programs on the fly.
I have seen allot of posts on here about drivabillity problems associated with the "insane" SCT tunes. I don't really know were the blame lies in those instances just that they are present. Do a search and you should turn up some info.

I had tunes on the truck since nov 04 and keep upgrading the tunes when something new comes out. Shifting is perfect. I can't complain. I hoping these wendsday night I beat my 1/4 time. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

I have Innovative's Tow, Max, and Extreme, and trust me there is no complaints here. The drivability is perfect, the shifts are as smooth, but quicker than stock, and the power is definately there. Dont know about the other programmer, but you wont be disappointed with the SCT from Innovative.

i can not speak of the quad or inovatives SCT, i have the SCT from ATS with Tadd's "insanity" tune. I LOVE IT. I have tried the Tow TQ and the Tow Power tunes and now my truck is CONSTANTLY on the insanity tune, heck it is more drivable than the SUPER CHIP MT i had. The shifting is PERFECT, just driving around it shifts just a lil firmer than stock, when the hammer is down she shifts firm but not hard, and when your towing it is in the middel. I could not ask for more, it smokes when you want and is cleen when you want. I can hold it to the floor, no building boost or anything and it will role for about 5-10 feet then smoke all 4 for about 15-20 feet. I am very "insane" about my truck, i will shift into gear in the morning and think that was fast or that was short, and will shift in and out a few times to make sure it is ok lol. this thing is perfect. I LOVE MY PSD AND MY SCT. Quad may be as nice but i don't see how it could be better.

I have had the 160 Quad for close to a month now. No problems shifting and the power is great. I only drive around in the 60 setting most of the time. Unless provoked into a race by some young punk who thinks his daddy's truck is fast.
