Big tires, chips, etc.: new gears?

I have a lifted 03 6.0 4x4 with some goodies (see signature/pics). My tires are about 35.2" tall. The stockers were about 31.7" tall. Right now I'm running a Dayna 80 rear with 4.10 gears. I did a quick calculation, and to get back to the gearing (overall) I had with the stock wheels/tires, I think I need 4.56's.

Has anyone here that has gone to bigger tires and a chip changed out their gears as I am suggesting above? Besides the lower fuel economy (I don't give a crap about that really, other than the hassle of having to fill up more often), are there other things I should be concerned with?

i am thinking that you are looking to do the same things that i did to my truck -- see my sig below...

reason i went with gears is because i tow a very heavy toyhauler. gears will get you near stock and that is important for shifting points for the tranny. you could always add a SCT that can be custom tuned for the new gears too, that will give you some more HP and torque. i would recommend either eric or tadd, as they both have some great tunes.

if you are not towing, then i would reconsider running 4.56s. if you do alot of freeway driving, then your RPMs will run you about 2200 at 70/75 mph -- and that means lots of fuel... so, if you feel the need to re-gear, then consider 4.30s.
