blown turbo

whats the best route for a blown turbo.. aftermarket or remanufactured...
my budget is only 1500.00 for the total repair.. next question would be where to get either of them..

I think for your budget either a used turbo from a wrecked ford or Industrial Injection has some for that price..they call if a modified vgt...basically a bigger wheel internally...kinda like a 03 turbo I think.

I've got an extra turbo from an 05' I bought it with about 60,000 miles on it & ran it for a couple weeks until the dealer could get my blown turbo replaced, mine blew up on a thurs. & I needed the truck for the weekend to get us to a horse show, after that the dealer replaced the used turbo with a new one & I gave them the box full of parts that were left from the stock one that exploded! I'd let the extra one go for what I have in it if you wanna go with a used factory replacement, just lemme know if I can help! Dusty
