Just installed blue spring kit. Looked pretty straightforward, but apparently I have done something wrong. My fuel pressure was 45 without the kit and is now 25-30. Started and ran vehicle for only about 5 minutes. Seems to run OK.
Any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks much!

Just cruise around the block...no traffic no sudden accelerations.....Maybe down the street turn around, come back. If it's too risky then it has to be the install job.

Or possibly you just have a weak fuel pump? I know the fuel pump is suposed to make more pressure than is going to go the injectors, then the regulator spring adjusts it accordingly. Maybe the pump itself just isn't making the pressure that its suposed to.

Sorry for the suggestion, you're the one asking questions, not me. Is it an early or late 04? If its an early, did u put the black plastic bushing back in?

It is a Late 04. I put it back together just as I took it apart. I did have one O ring left over. I suspect it would be for the fuel pressure fitting..which I did not have to take off.
I suspect the spring is not right.

Well than as suggested, take apart and recheck. The only reason that I suggested the fuel pump is that I have noticed over a couple of years that things get "comfortable" with what they are doing. Now I know that this is a different part of the engine, but recently I replaced all 8 injectors on an early 04. At the time, The hpop was putting out sufficient pressure, but after it got new injectors, it fell on its face, and could not produce the pressure that was desired. Maybe the fuel pump was doing good until it was called upon to do more? I honestly don't know, but take it apart and recheck. If everything is good, it only leaves one more culprit for pressure, wich is the pump. The lines and tank behind it don't create any pressure.
