boost cut!!!

Okay so say im going down the highway with my truck in final gear and I go to lean on the gas to pass someone. Boost gauge will reach about 20psi and then the truck jerks and boost drops to 15psi. This will continue as long as I don’t let off the gas or I have to floor it. When this happens a puff of white smoke will come out the exhaust. Any one know what this is???

Re: boost cut!!!

What he said. I'm battling a sticking turbo but the EP is bad (was when it went in but they didn't replace it for some stupid reason) but the EGR was replaced instead. EGR is still like brand new.

Re: boost cut!!!

Check your intercooler pipes too, make sure everything is nice and snug.
