bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

they say if you get the programer with the monitor you can go from 50hp to 155hp in 10 different settings on the fly , my ? is, do you load all the programs in the monitor, otherwise I do not see how this is possible

Re: bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

You download which ever setting you want into your truck. You have choices of 10-100%. Then when you have your outlook monitor plugged in you can change that number in 25% increments just by moving the little toggle switch on the outlook. If you put 100% you can have 0%-stock, 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%. It is hard for me to understand but do you get what I am trying to say?.

Re: bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

that makes sense to me, no need to program lower tunes in, being you can lower the 155hp tune down in 25% increments

does the speed de-limiter work on an 03-05 6.0?
if so, does it take it out completely or act like a governor to a set mph?

my friend with a 05 is considering getting this or the edge. he wants to be able to control it on the fly but still have the speed limiter taken out. if it works well on his truck i might consider it for mine.

thanks for everyone's response.

Re: bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

You just completely remove it. I am guessing it doesn't set it higher, My truck is lifted now so I never get it that fast. When it was stock I could peg it out at 98. Haven't tried anything since the lift/tires and programmer.

Re: bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

troll4rockfish,

What most folks do is program the PCM on the highest setting, then use the Outlook to go from 0-100% of the programmed level in the PCM in increments of 10% at a time. The speed limiter is gone if you program it that way.

Call us if you have any questions and we'll be glad to help you.

Re: bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

Mark

I have a Excursion 6.0 early April 03 build (still got all my original C94's) and The engine is still running on original flash.
Do You think that The Powerpup would work in my Excursion with out the latest flash?

Any dyno results out there for the Bullydog Powerpup programmer? If so, please share.

Re: bullydog powerpup programer with monitor

jetratt,

Yes it has a stock file, a smooth file and a race file for shift controls. I have been running the race file and it feels real good, maybe 10-15% stiffer and faster than the smooth file.
