I have the Triple Dog Power Pup Outlook Monitor Feature:installed in my 2006 F-250 6.0 for 10 months and it performs great but it has so side effects with the onboard computer. Shuts down door locks, remote key pad, interior lights, leaves power on to the radio even after the doors open. seems to also to have been on a timer because it would happen without running the truck at different times of the day. I have talked to the Bullydog techs, but they tell me that they have never heard of his issue. I downloaded the bully dog program and took truck back to Ford dealership for a reflash. Reinstalled the newest version on the Bullydog with tech assist and everything worked great for about 2 months.
Now it's starting all over again. Symptoms have returned and they last for a couple of hours after I shut down the truck. Seems the program in my 2006 F-250 and my pavement curling bullydog don't get along. Has anyone had these type of issues and any suggestions how to cure the problem? Truck runs Great. Can't lock the doors !
Sell the BullyDog, and get a custom tuned SCT. Your tranny, motor, and your trucks computer (obviously) will thank you. You won't have all these problems, and you will be able to go faster, yet safer

i had a bullydog pmt which i loved the power but mot the tranny shifting. i eneded up blowing my tranny and got an sct x3.. i love it.. the tranny shifts almost like stock and the power is good. i still think i got more power with the bullydog pmt but i have yet to try innovative diesel's prog yet. i am on river city diesel's prog.. not thrilled with the power considering the pmt was only 120hp and the sct race should be like 150-170hp. i feel like there about the same matbe even got more from the pmt but doesnt matter if the tranny wont last..
call innovative you can buy a tuner with custom tunes

I have had a PMT on my truck since Jan 08 and haven't had anything like that happen to my truck. The PMT and the Triple Dog run the same type of programs. Do you have a in-cab monitor that could be screwing with your wiring?
The only things that have happened to mine is the cradle dock had to be replaced (due to wires coming loose) and my pyro sender shorted (due to me accidentally kicking the end of the usb connector at the OBDII and breaking it). They were fixed as easy as replacing the part from Bully Dog. I find it odd that the tuner would cause electrical problems like that. Are you sure it's not a completely separate problem that has nothing to do with your tuner?

I agree totally with tvandyck7, I had the Triple Dog and it was awesome power but transmission shifted like he**. I moved to the SCT from Eric but not extremely pleased with the power. Just running the econ, aggressive tow, and street tune. Maybe you have to move up to the Race tune in order to get the HP but I don't have heads studded yet so I am living with the little bit less power. EGT and tranny temp dropped like a rock with SCT too. So overall, loved the Bully Dog but SCT is just safer.
PS - Lost my really loud POP at lower rpms with the SCT too. I sure miss the noise at low rpm. Sure had fun with that.
Great feedback and thanks. I do have an in cab monitor and I have to think the wires are not crossed because after the Ford dealer re-flash everything worked great for a couple of months. These symptoms are hard for everyone to believe that’s why I took it back to the Dealer I bought the Triple Dog from and had them confirm the issue. I have to say it’s not a stand- alone issue; because when I down loaded the Bull Dog program out of the truck it instantly remedied the problem, locks, lights, key pad….. the works!
My Trans also shifted terribly until I did the complete and exact procedures outlined in the install manual (need long flat road with no traffic) to tune my shift points and once the Triple Dog was installed the second time and after the re-flash. She shifts great now but I never run it in the extreme mode so I don’t put that much torque on the transmission. There is plenty of acceleration and torque in the Tow/Econo mode. I have to admit I don’t know what SCT stands for, so if someone could provide a little training for those of us that are a little slow on the up take… Perhaps I need to just live with problem and enjoy the performance. I appreciate it. Thanks
