Cat question

i am going to install a mbrp turbo back exhaust on my 07 F250 and i am going to keep the cat, but i ordered a cat delete pipe. i was wondering if it was a pain in the butt to take the cat off on for when i have to take it to get inspected or any other work done at the dealer. Does anyone else do this? and if so how hard is it, from what i see it just clamps on

Um, you ordered a 3 1/2" kit so your 3 1/2" CAT will fit?
Anywho, mine's a 4" kit and I modded the OEM CAT with 4" couplings. I've had it in and out twice, not too much trouble, but some. By and by, the CAT doesn't a hurt a whole lot by having it in, and it kills the annoying hiss at idle you get without a CAT with a straight flow muffler.

this is what I did,use ss band clamps instead, for easy removable of the cat or delete pipe.I just remove the band clamp, remove hangers from rubber mounts and slide out cat or delete pipe from the midpipe.
Imho if you use the muffler type clamps you may crimp the cat or/and delete pipe for harder removable....
hope this heips

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I used band clamps. 2" SS from NAPA. I also used a hacksaw and sliced 2 slices down each coupling so it could squeeze/clamp down under the band clamps.
