Caterpillar 3126 and Allison Trans replacement

Hey Guys, I have a 2006 ford f-350 6.0 4x4, I would really like to get together with someone With the engineering expertise, technical knowledge of the 6.0 4x4 drive train, the caterpillar 3126 and its required electrical system and allison transmission options. What I am wanting to do is a first of its kind replacement, as far as i know. I am wanting to replace the torque shift 5 speed and the 6.0 with a cat 3126 and suitable allison transmission. I know its going to be expensive, and very difficult if it can even be done. Does anyone out there have this kind of ability and knowledge or know someone who would even be able to sit down, draw this out, engineer it and get it done?

i read recently that cat will be producing its own line of light trucks in the near future. u may want 2 wait as that transplant will be costly as hell! even with the proper computer systems installed, grafting subframe/crossmember assemblies etc, etc. that would be a HUGE UNDERTAKING!!!! just my 2 cents!

A friend and i have been doing this vary same thing to his truck for the past couple years. The truck is a 1993 Ford F350, and we have droped a 3208 cat into it. I am not sure what model of allison tranny he bought to put in it but i do know that he bought it out of 2 month old totaled concrete mix truck so it is fairly large. There is really not to much to do as far as wiring in this conversion but the truck is quite a bit older than your truck. All i can tell you is box in the frame completly the entire length of the frame beacuse when this truck turns over the whole truck rocks back and forth. Also we had to put a mount in the front for three shocks and take the leaf spring out the rear end of a 2005 f350 and put in the front just to hold the weight. But i will get back with you once we get a little deeper into the wiring also we are having to of course have a drive shaft made and since the tranny is so big the drive shaft is only going to be like 4ft long!!!

along with the fact that you're going to be overweight before you even sit in the truck, and the little fact that its more weight than the brakes were ever intended to stop. sounds like it wil be a really cooooool trailer queen. as far as a simple mechanically injected engine like the 3208 goes WHY, its huge its heavy and it makes less power than a hot 7.3 never mind a 6.0 really its like that add on tv of the 300 pound guy in the bikini swimsuit, just because you can doesn'y mean its right
