custom tuning

okay so i have the hyperteck and it does the job. i was just wondering if there is any type of custom tune out there. if so who makes it? is it worth it? and what are the pro's n con's.

bassani 4" downpipe w/ custom 4" exhaust side exit
auto meter boost,egt,trans temp guage
dvd w/navi
8k hid headlights w/clear corners
air bags in front that raise it about 2"

search SCT you should get enough info to read you won't be able to leave your computer for about a month.

99 F250 XLT ext. cab 7.3 hypertech programmer. Wife asked me to trade it in for a crew cab.
01 F250 Lariat crew cab 7.3. Every option and superchips programmer. Best truck I ever owned. Traded in thinking the 6.0 would be better. Biggest mistake of my life.
03 F250 Lariat crew cab 6.0. Don't even want to talk about it. Spent more time in the shop than in the driveway.
06 F250 Lariat crew cab. MBRP full exhaust . I actually like this truck. Probably the closes I will ever get to a truck like my 01.

It was worth it to me. I had the Hypertech In-Line PTM module (shift on the fly) that I ran for a long while and then they claimed they made the shifting better with the Power Programmer III so I bought it too. Had it for a month, got rid of it and got an SCT. With the SCT XCal2, tunes are great and shifting is really good. With a custom tune, you are able to tell the person that writes your tunes exactly what you want your truck to do power wise and shifting wise.

I think it's worth it. But that's just me. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
