Cutting off the cat, and disconnecting the EGR

Just kidding, but now that I have your attention, anyone know where to get a stock 6.0 exhaust downpipe, other than Ford. I know someone who wants to un upgrade their downpipe and put their cat back in, and he is looking for one.

Re: Cutting off the cat, and disconnecting the EGR

He has a 5 inch system, but needs Head gaskets, and has been told by the dealer not to bring it in with anything other than stock downpipe and Kitty. Which is rediculous. The exhaust didn't cause the HG failure.

Re: Cutting off the cat, and disconnecting the EGR

I've got both - but you'd have to weld the downpipe back together where I cut it to get it out without removing the tranny cross member. It is from an '03. You could hide the weld with some foil heat shield like stock.

Re: Cutting off the cat, and disconnecting the EGR

Not sure John, it is a guy on TDG. I haven't had a problem with warranty stuff from my dealer.
