Re: disconnecting exhaust?

You can disconnect but are you running something after this? Don't run just the downpipe, not good.

Re: disconnecting exhaust?

I ran mine from the cat back off for a few months with no problems... it wasn't even very loud in the cab and I have an 03 (louder turbo than the 04). Mark Craig had a few posts that he talked about just running the downpipe on his truck so you might want to do a search. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Re: disconnecting exhaust?

Do you mean running with just a downpipe? If you do, better get some earplugs!

Re: disconnecting exhaust?

I torched the cat off my 99 (disclaimer: for off-roading purposes only) and it was loud in the cab. Too loud for even an 18 y/o like me. The motor sure spooled alot faster.
