Donahoe Racing is Done

Just a word of warning as I see that their website is still up and running, do not order anything from Donahoe Racing as they filed for Chapter 11. I ordered a set of adjustable front traction bars back in November which never arrived at the 4x4 shop that I ordered them through. The shop was orginally told they were on back order and then recently in the last week found out they shut their doors. It is also my understanding that they will very likely never reopen or be scooped up by another manufacturer due to some improprieties by the company and the owner. Luckly the shop I ordered the part through (they already paid Donahoe for the traction bars and thus are out the money) is a stand up operation in that they are going to get the traction bars from another company at no additional expense to me.

Re: Donahoe Racing is Done

I talked to Superduty headquarters, and they swear that Donahoe is alive and well. There has been some difficulties with restructuring, and the founder Kreg appears to be in some legal troubles. I was assured that product is beginning to get shipped again.

I've been waiting for an adjustable track bar since november.

I'm sure Marty/overkill knows more on this than I do.

Re: Donahoe Racing is Done

this rumor is all over the internet. I wouldn't listen to anything but the press release that was supposed to be put out today.

Re: Donahoe Racing is Done

from what I read on another forum it appears that they are going through a restructuring process and will continue operating producing pretty much the same stuff and still dealing with warranty claims. I can't find anything about a press release though , other than it was supposed to come out yesterday.

Then tell him to ship me the traction I ordered over a month ago. Believe me I am not rooting for Donahoe to go under as I think they make some of the best offroad components on the market. I would be very wary of ordering from them as they are not shipping product and there seems to be a lot of smoke regarding the stability of the company. I guess I should have prefaced my first post with FWIW.

Uh... well, they make stuff that is an upgrade, and uh aftermarket

Maybe they could put it in the "hope the allegations are not true" category. If things are true, the product will do better than the accused. Hope things work out.

I meant, donahoes stuff isn't 6.0 specific. Wouldn't upgrades and aftermarket-general be more appropriate?

Re: Donahoe Racing is Done

Is cussing in the rules?

So maybe it will get moved, don't get your panties in a wad. The guy just figured this was a good place to start. Relax. We all make mistakes, I am sure the original poster meant no harm.

Anyhow, hope that DR the company comes out ok, a good product. Not sure what to believe but based on the company reputation, they should do fine.
