Edge attitude worth it??

I have read everyones posting on the Edge w/ Attitude. Everyone seems to have some sort of problems with the different HP settings. I Have an 03' just bought it and was curious to hear everyones comments on how much of a differnce it makes. I have heard that it is as fast as a Mustang GT, to it does not make that much of a difference. I thought my truck was pretty fast stock, and now i am curious to see what the Edge w/ attitude can do. I def. have a need for speed, and also does the Attitude increase the governer Limit?? If I do get it do i really NEED to upgrade the exhaust and air? I do not tow with it. Thanks everyone for all your help.

Re: Edge attitude worth it??

The Edge w/ Attitude is a hot set up. It takes some time for the tranny to learn to shift well, but other than that, it's a great mod. I STRONGLY recommend you install an aftermarket exhaust system like the DPPI BEFORE installing any module or programmer. I have both the Edge w/ Attitude and DiabloSport Predator. I attempted to run both, but shifting was very poor, so I use the Predator in stock tune w/ the speed limiter removed (which anwers your question...NO the attitude does not remove the speed limiter) and the Edge w/ attitude. You will be able to accelerate very close to a mustang GT. In 2WD on the street, you will accelerate about as fast as a new mustang GT automatic convertible. I don't have personal 1/4 mile figures yet, but I raced a friend in a fairly stock '94 GT-S mustang, which runs consistant 14.30s at the track. We ran from a roll and he beat me by 1/2 car. We then ran from a stop with me in 4WD and I took him by a 1/2 car length all the way to 90. This was with ONLY the predator in 100 HP mode and a DPPI turbo back exhaust. I was running just the predator b/c I sent my attitude back for a reflash. You can expect low 14 second e.t.s in 4WD, but you'll only trap out arond 93-96 MPH.

13.9 at 94.9 mph. Most GT's at my elevation are lucky to be in the high 14's. But the 4x is what helps my ET so much. Have played with a few GT's on the street, usually pull away pretty good, and then sometimes they flick a switch

Re: Edge attitude worth it??

byrdman,

PSDRob is spot on on his info, the only thing I can add is you will NOT believe the difference between stock and Edged. I take my Edge Attitude off every three weeks or so to let me remember what stock is like. I had 7.3's in the past that I thought were pretty strong, the 6.0 stock was pretty close to the 7.3's and now with the 6.0 Modded up it's amazing how strong it really is. I had a M3 series try to out pace me on an on ramp last week, boy did he get a surprise!!! We will help you with any questions just give us a call if you need us.

Re: Edge attitude worth it??

Stacy David on TrucksTV put one on a Duramax last Saturday - seems easy enough. (He did a BANKS Six GUN on a 6.0 last week)

Can you actually turn it completely OFF?

If you remove it when you go in for servcie does it leave any prints in the PCM?
