Edge or Gauges?

2005 F-250 getting ready to do egr cooler and oil cooler and maybe head gaskets and wanted to add some gauges to monitor things then I seen the Edge 15003 and it seems to do everything the gauges will do and more and monitors 4 at the same time. Cost is 400.00 and gauges will cost about the same. What do you think???

With a 05 you have a factory boost gauge. The essentials to monitor are in priority. Egt, oil temp, coolant temp, fuel psi. The edge will do all of them except fuel psi. If you to I would also monitor tranny temp. The edge is a soild setup with few drawbacks. The analog gauges have some comprimises such as the loss of the driver grab bar and once you have the gauges you cannot switch what they read like the edge is able to do. For ex. If you are pulling you could monitor egt, oil, coolant, tranny. Then when you not pulling you could do egt, oil, coolant, boost etc. The price on the edge sounds kinda high unless it is including the egt probe. I'd check a site sponsor they generally have good prices.

Thanks Lubbockguy, That is what I was thinking but I did forget about the fuel psi. This one does have the egt probe.

Yes, it does. Our top seller for the 6.0L is the Edge Insight. You can monitor a ton of different parameters with it.

Comes down to what you prefer most. I prefer old school with a set of gauges.

Marivn I don't know anything about the 15003 maybe someone will have the answer for you, I do know the Edge Insight is the one I wanted, I have the A piller in my 97 and they work well but I wanted to keep the grab handle and the Edge fit the bill + I did not want any tunes. I ordered on Tuesday and it came today UPS from Adam at FCDP. That is great service! 2 stroker
PS Give Adam call, he may have the answer (904)-813-5067

I was ready to order an Edge today until I was informed by a vendor that they aren't "shift on the fly". Went with a TS 6 position chip and gauges instead.

the edge insight is not a tuner. im not going to beat a dead horse but anything on a 6.0 or 6.4 that is shift on the fly is a waste... of money, a good tranny and well not worth the time.
