Are you talking about a 6.0?? There are no 6 position chips for them....

Got the Edge in, sweet. Running 60 MPH and 60 deg. out side the ECT 190deg. EOT 196deg, TOT 154deg, pyro 600 to 800deg. The real test will be when I hook up the 5er 14,000lbs that will be next month hope my heart can take it. In my 97 I am running Isspro in an A piller, and I think the Egde is quicker on temp changes + the install was a lot quicker. Just had to post my numbers, will post when I have my first run with the 5er. I have my fuel pressure gauge on order should get it this coming week got the Fuel Pressure Adapter last week. Thanks to everyone that has helped me on this.

Got my Edge Evolution today and got it hooked up tonight before dark except for the EGT probe which I will do later. Went out for a short drive to check and see if the Ford dealer was right. 58 degrees outside temp going 60 mph the coolant temp was 182 and oil temp was 213 so I guess I need a oil cooler from what I read on here. Not having any smoke or pucking.

It is also nice to have the ability to pull codes on the fly at any time. Great product and clean install.

No, but you have to use the Ford Specific parameters.

Yes. When you plug it in, it reads your truck determining that it is a Ford. When you go in to the Insight to select what parameters you want, you scroll to the bottom to find the ones marked for Ford.

The reason I asked is because I recently got a scanguage to chek EOT vs ECT. With the truck cold the EOT was ~30-40 deg higher than ECT. When I called them they said they have had a few issues with the 05 6.0L and were trying to figure it out.

Someone on the board gave me some corrections to the scangauge codes and it seems to work better. But I have been thinking about taking it back and getting an Insight, but I don't really want to spend the money to find out it does not work either.

I called Edge and talked to someone who claimed to be tech support and explained about the Scangauge and its readings and asked if they had any problems with the 05's and EOT. His response was they read the values directly from the computer so they can't be wrong. I tried to explain that the computer does not send out information in engineering units and they need a formula to convert the information to to degrees. But he insisted that they get the actual numbers from the cars computer. Then he said I could return it if it did not work.

I do not think I have found any Insight threads about EOT not working. But I have found a few scangauge threads about it. So they must not be getting their codes and parameters from Ford.
