Yea it sucks none of the newer juice's including the platinum w/ the hot code will run like the old Ejf1000's. I had/have all of them 1000,2000,2305(platinum), and the newest non-platinum juice the 10104. The 10104 has more power with its hot unlock than the platuim does with its hot unlock, but not the trans control. The ejf1000 runs circles around the others, and if you use a Evolution or a SCT for the trans control, its makes her manageable.

Sometimes you can find the 1000's for sale and they're usually cheap. ~$150-$250

It is a shame there are so many people having issues with their products. I love the display, but am not willing to sink my money into something with a bunch of customer service issues!

Hmmm, interesting reading about these trans issues and their reaction to them. My '04 with, I guess, the old version, has worked great, but I can tell that in any program above 2 (tow), the trans struggles. Just doesn't feel "right". So I always run it in 1 (mileage) or 2. I stay away from 3 and up.

Besides, to be honest, the best thing about it is the small gauge that gives you 4 parameters on one screen......

Does the 1000 work with the attitude monitor, just doesn't give you the trans controls?

To the best of my knowldge the only edge product that does any type of trans tuning is the edge evolution which is a flash tuner. The juice, attitude, etc are module tuners

Yes the EJF1000 works with the attitude monitor, but no trans control. Also the 1000 only works on 03's and 04's.

Edge used to offer a trans only Evolution to use for customers to use with the EJF1000 and 2000. I still have one from my previous truck. It offers trans control, tire size change, diff change, speed limiter removal (without stopping the speedo at 93mph), idle speed adjustment, and governor adjustment. It used to be $250 with free overnight shipping. If you can still get one it also works with the Platinum. You just have to program the ECU while the platinum is not connected.

Hi guys. I have a 2004 F350 with a 4 inch magnaflow Exhaust, Afe stage1 airbox with my ZooDad modand an Edge juice(2305 model)platinum with attitude module. My truck has 90 000 miles . I use it for towing a 9000 lb toyhauler(loaded) and drive like a raped ape sometimes. I often use it on level 5 and have no problems. I allow the trans time to adapt between levels and change the oil and filters every 15k miles in the trans.

I have a 2005 and the EJF1000 works just fine (without the Attitude). I called Edge a few years back and they said it would work without the Attitude.

I've been happy with just the 3 settings on the toggle switch; it's very noticeable, especially the 3rd setting. I usually roll around in the 2nd setting and I can hear the turbo shutter and the loud whoosh out of the tailpipe when I let off. And on the 3rd setting it's sounds like a cat getting spit out of the tail pipe, (if I get on it a bit and let off) very loud.

K&N and straight exhaust with the EJF1000 that's it and it whistles like a dog trainer.

I'm also on my second set of head gaskets, but it seems common with the 6.0. Still, I may start driving it like an old lady on the 1st setting just for fuel mileage, don't want a 3rd set of head gaskets! (Any thoughts and/or advice on avoiding another set of head gaskets is appreciated).

Hope this helps,
Chris

If you want to prevent it you must address the egr deficencies and make sure your heads are flat. Then use either stock head gaskets or the black onyx gaskets and arp studs. Might be a good idea to monitor your egts and other vitals.
