The dealership just changed my head gaskets, so studs and/or making sure the heads aflat are out of the question (to much hassle). It looks like they put an updated gaskets in atleast the part number suggests it. They also replaced some pins and used some misc. hardware I'd imagine new bolts? I'll have to look into the EGR deficiencies?

they call it a upgraded kit. basically the same bolts only new and more torque is applied, contact first coast diesel performance and talk to adam about egr solutions

I broke down and popped for the "hot" option. You have to go into your trans settings and change the difueller setting, its probably at 100% lower it to how you like the trucks shifting, it will suggest transmission upgrades but ive had mine at 50% for about a year and havnt had the slightest problem with anything.
