Edge Platinum juice vs. Edge evo

I have an 03 and ready to make some purchases, can anyone tell me the biggest differences b/n these two and if the "hot" tune is an option with the evo.
Any help would be appreciated..

Re: Edge Platinum juice vs. Edge evo

The Evo is a programmer. It basically reprograms the truck's computer. The downside is you can only have one power level per download. If you want to change power levels, you have to stop, shut the truck off and reprogram to the new level. The plus side is, by reprogramming the computer, the tranny is also reprogrammed as well, so the tranny should not be adversely affected by the additional power. I don't believe there is any additional power levels available other than what is supplied in the unit when you get it (no "hot unlock code").

The Juice Platinum is a module. This one intercepts the signals between the computer and the engine and alters those signals before sending them on. The plus side of it is that you have 5 different power levels (6 with the "hot unlock code") available to you at a whim and you can change them back and forth on the move (change on the fly). The downside is, being a module, it only controls the tranny indirectly (although I still have yet to see a single post where this has caused a problem).

As an Edge Juice and #1200 Evolution owner I second the statement above. I commuted to work today with Looney Tunes loaded and all I can say is Holy Christmas!!! an absolutely incredible amount of completely controlled horsepower. Every program I've used is perfect.
