Edge Products: CLASS ACT

I want to give Egde products, especially their Techs, namely Aaron, exceptional praise & honor!!Aaron showed geniune desire to help me out with any problems I may have with their product. He seem COMMITED to resolve ANY issues I may have.

Case in point: Last week my Edge Attitude egt temp quit reading properly & would only register 77 degrees. Also, I had developed an automatic 20 percent backdown on power output after any moderate to hard takeoff acceleration, even though I had my maximum egt temp set at 1500 degrees! My records in the Attitude was only showing max egt's reaching 852, 1030 So, I put in a call to Edge products & spoke with their tech, in particular, Aaron. Super guy, very helpful & understanding. I explained my issues & he suggested I test thermocoupler with a meter, which I did & it proved to be defective. As for the backdown issue, he suggested to first change the thermocoupler & see if that was also causing the errant backdown. So I had him next day a replacement. I put in the replacement thermocoupler, which took care of the error egt reading issue, but the backdown still remained... I called back & spoke AGAIN with Aaron, who then PROMPTLY offered a COMPLETE replacement Edge juice & Attitude, sending it NEXT DAY at NO CHARGE!!He stated that he didnt want me to wait any longer than necessary & that I had been through enough already! I mean, what a class act, I had no need to scream at him & he considered my viewpoint & acted PROMPTLY. For this, I am most greatful!! I am floored with the outstanding service & consideration of this company!

Egde products IMO, is a FIRST CLASS company!! They are very pleasant to work with & stand behind their product. They make no EXCUSES & DELIVER what they advertise...even when failures occur... They arent looking to just BAIL OUT & throw your money back at you if you know what I mean...

Re: Edge Products: CLASS ACT

I am still waiting to get some performance module/programmer and have been reading lots about Edge service, but have also read lots about problems. Are the components used to make these substandard because IMHO, there shouldn't be as many problems as there are. The shifting issue is a totally different thing, but there have been so many posts about Attitudes not working properly - or is the Edge itself ok, just the Attitude itself having quality issues? ...I dont know about 'substandard' components, but I do know this, they have thousands of units like these out & they are the frontrunner of this type (monitoring & safety design). It hasnt been until recently, that weve seen quite a few who are experiencing like conditions, which I would personally suspect are coming from the Attitude/monitor portion of the setup. The Edge juice itself I dont think is causing the problems...just my $.02

Still, for me, all & all, I will CONTINUE to use Egde products!

Re: Edge Products: CLASS ACT

I want to add my kudos for Edge as well.

I recently bought a Juice module off ebay. When it got here, I noticed it was version 2.3. I called Edge and talked to them about it. I told them I bought it from a private individual, not a dealer and that I didn't have the sales receipt for it. I asked them how much it would cost to get it flashed to the lasted version. They told me "Send it in and we'll reflash it for you, no charge". You pay the shipping here, we'll pay the shipping back." Now, if you ask me, that's going above and beyond!!

Re: Edge Products: CLASS ACT

I would like to get the Edge Juice w/attitude as well, but i get a little worried when i read about all of the problems w/them. I don't have time to be monkeying around with the thing all the time, but would really like to get one, knowing that is going to work properly. I would also like to know that they have the tranny shifting problems figured out before i spend that kind of money on one. However i have ready many, many posts about their service and that is probably the only reason i am still considering the edge. They really seem to take care of their customers according to the posts on here.

Let me tell you, i've owned my Edge juice & Attitude since late december, Ive now driven over 15000 HARD as well as easy miles & this is my first issue with the unit! Yeah, I too have had the initial shifting issues like most everybody else, but even that resided drastically after I gave the tranny some time to 'learn'.
All I can say is, once youve experienced the smooth, across the power band power increase one of these puppies gives your truck...there aint no turning back!! I just couldnt imagine my truck without it now...in fact, I went crazy the week I went without my Edge/Attitude when I sent it back for updated flash!!

Remember, ALL the major module manufacturers are having to deal with the tranny shifting issues anytime you EXCEED the 100 hp increase. I believe a seperate TCM module will have to be incorporated as well as some tranny internal changes to perfect the shifting against the higher hp increases...just my $.02

Ya know Lenny, I think you are right on both the TCM AND the internal mods. The computer can only do so much, it can not overcome 200 pounds of additional torque. The transmission may need additional friction plates and higher pressures.

Re: Edge Products: CLASS ACT

BIGBLUE777,

This IS one of the reasons we promote Edge products so heavily, they take care of customer needs and problems and about 99% of the time you actually get more and better service than you expect. In this day and age thats a real "strange" thing.
