EGR / exhaust help

Hey guys, New here. I'm a chevy diesel man myself, but I'm trying to help my friend with his '06 F-250 with the 6.0

He just got a MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust. I'm going to help him with the install. When he puts that exhaust on will he need to worry about any codes or Check engine lights coming on? If so, what can he do to prevent that?

Sorry if this is asked allot or if its in the wrong forum. Did allot of searches, and I'm not sure if the exhaust systems on the 6.0 are engine specific.

Thanks,
Doc

Nothing to worry about installing the exhaust. It will fit perfectly w/o any issues.

PM or call if you need more info.

The exhaust is a simple install on the 6.0L trucks.

Remove the exhaust from the rear of the truck forward. Unbolt the the downpipe at the turbo last. Once you get it unbolted, just take your time and snake it down. The 03 and early 04 trucks have an aluminum covering over the downpipe, which makes it a little harder. The 06 is easier, so you shouldn't have any problem.

I'd recommend an SCT with our custom tuning. It'll definitely take advantage of the extra airflow.

Thanks guys, I know he is looking into a tuner as well, I'll have him look you up.

Do you know if he only changes the exhaust and leaves the stock toon will it throw a code? He's just curious how soon he needs a tuner.

Thanks

No codes will be thrown. Innovative makes some sweet tunes, and the SCT is THE tuner for the 6.0L. I have an Edge Platinum, and like it alot - but my brothers 6.0L with the SCT and Innovatives tunes walk away from me...
