You can adapt the Flex-a-Lite 7.3 fan to work pretty easily. However, if you will be towing or driving on the street hard daily, the factory fan is the way to go.

From what I've read on this topic when it has come up, the general agreement was that electric fans would be good for a drag truck. For any other use, it was not worth the money, and could potentially cause cooling problems under certain situaitons. Other than a really small improvement in the 1/4 mile, I don't think an electric fan would gain you much of anything.
