exhaust removal of a 6.0

I want to take the exhaust off of my 6.0, does naybody know of a kit to delete the muffler and cat, or is it just cheaper to go to Summit and buy a ten foot piece of pipe and have a shop do it for me. also anbody know if you can cut teh muffler off in the very front and turn the tube 180' and have it line up with the tail pipe, was able to do this on my last three trucks, just wondering if its the same. I know all about the laws and trying to find somebody to do it for me might be hard but any help would be appreciated in finding a kit.

Re: exhaust removal of a 6.0

Powersmoke03,

We have cat backs, turbo backs and Dual turbo back systems available. Trying to make a system will be a lot of work and you will probably not be as happy with the result as what we have already done that for you R&D wise. That is unless your a sheetmetal fabricator etc. There are cat delete pipes available you can use and it's easy enough to make a muffler delete pipe too, but our cat back system in aluminizd will get you more egt drop and better spool up for a pretty inexpensive price(can't post per site rules). Not to mention it's preetty nice to look at! Ask the guys here what they think of our systems, they aren't bashful and they will let you know. Do a search on the forum too and it will help you decide. I have had three folks this week buy our turbo back system, that had done what you thinking about, it helped their performance, but now they are starting over. What I mean is you can save the $$ and headaches and have less hassles etc.

Re: exhaust removal of a 6.0

Whoops!

Mark, I had told you on the phone Friday that I had posted in this thread just after you answered the other members question. I called you a little after that and I did wright down the prices you quoted me over the phone. I just checked my e-mail and yes I did receive youir e-mail.

Sorry for the confusion I should have deleted my post in this thread after we spoke on Friday. I will be calling you later today or tomorrow sometime. I have a lot going on today so it will most likely be tomorrow sometime.

Thanks again!

Jon

Re: exhaust removal of a 6.0

Jon,

No problem, we talk with so many folks it's hard to remember their "handles" vs their real names on the various sites out there. Better we get you more info than less I always say.
