Exhaust Thought

I was wondering something. I like the compatibility of MBRP Systems and I like the way the Hog Performance exits the truck. Does Hog offer a cat back? Muffler Delete? I could buy a down pipe from MBRP and Cat Delete and merge it all together. The factory compatibility of MBRP and the look of Hog as it exits. Just a thought, Chris

Re: Exhaust Thought

UpstateDieselGuy,

You could do that if you want to get into welding and cutting to make it all fit and work etc. If you like the exit of the hog, you could easily change the angle of our tail pipe with one cut and and one weld which would be a whole lot easier that making the cat and down pipe mixed system to fit correctly etc.

As an aside I didn't think their tail pipe exit was much, if any different than ours, so you will probably find that once it's installed you'll like it and leave it as is.

Call us if you have any questions etc.

Re: Exhaust Thought

That's true. I like that theirs exits the truck much like your dual system, at an angle at the edge of the bumper. The stock single MBRP exits pretty much perpendicular to the side of the truck. I just like that swept look at the corner of the bumber. I wish I had a welder I would make it happen, lol. I might be able to cut that final bend of the tailpipe and get a longer tip. So many options. Thanks again, Chris

Re: Exhaust Thought

UpstateDieselGuy,

The duals do exit a little further to the rear, but the singles are quite a bit to the rear as compared to the stock system. The stock system is basically in line with the axle, the MBRP single is angled back approx 20-25 degrees to the rear.
