Fluidampnr Install

Took some time this weekend to install the Fluidampnr. Using hand tools I was able to complete the install in 3 hours including the test ride. Initial findings: smoother acceleration, smoother sounding motor and really climbs into the RPMs. After a longer drive this morning I found that on some hills the cruise control doesn't need as much input to maintain the speed when traveling up hill. Before the CC would just put the pedal down with a BIG power surge to go uphill, now it seems to be using less input to be able to maintain the speed uphill.

How hard was it to install? Did at home or do you have access to a garage? Would like to do the same, From what I can see it looks like you have to pull everything to get at it, what short cuts did you take? Thanks

Everything was done in the driveway with a creeper and hand tools. I drained a gallon of coolant, removed the coolant hoses, removed the fan shroud, left the cooling fan in place, and removed the harware for the secondary shroud. I used some bolts to help keep the balancer from turning when I R&I the balancer. I just went slow since I didn't have air tools...worked out just fine. Let me know if you need some help, I'm in the Richmond/Tidewater/Northern Neck area.

Thanks! I have installed them before on GM gassers back in the day but never on our trucks. Thanks for the input.

Did you consider others besides Fluidampner?

At the time ATI was the only compnay I knew of that offered our application. I got the dampner awhile back, just recently had time to put it on.
