essentially you use the existing wire to turn on a relay that you tie into the battery. The existing wire is somewhere around an 18 or 22 ga wire, can't deliver much umph to the lights. Also there is a mod to have the low beams stay on when you put on the high beams. do a search. I no longer have the file on my computer or I would attach it. Its easy to do and there is, or were, people making the harness as a kit

Well I did the zoodad mod and it works good

And it is quick and ez to do

Harpoon the tank is great as well. Cheap, a little of the difficult side.

However if you fill the tank all that way up. I get over 110 miles before the gauge is off the full line

lol i did the zoodad mod befoer i knew what it was lol about 3 years ago i had the grill off to add a secondary fan which i had no room for and noticed the intake was blocked and was a tinny 1 1/2 hole so i took a cut off wheel and a reamer and opened it up gained about 1 mpg on highway kept 95% of it behind the grill just made the hole bigger so it was like sucking through a straw
