Fuel Filters

Folks,
I just had to by fuel filters for my 6.0 (do not use it much) and got a bruse on my chin when it hit the counter when they (NAPA) told me how much the two filters were. Is there any relief for this? Would an Air Dog or FASS take the place of the fuel filter system and offer some relief to the high prices of the filters?
Thanks

You can go to dieselfiltersonline.com and buy the Racor filters (who makes them for Ford) for just under $35/set. The FASS and AirDog standalone systems will run you about $600-$700 plus the additional parts necessary to ditch the entire factory fuel system.

If you are planning to go with big injectors, one of those kits is probably a good investment. However, if the sole purpose of buying one is to get away from the cost of the factory filters, you will need to put an additional 270,000+ miles on your truck for one of those kits to pay for itself.

International generally sells them for $40 or less. The ford house wanted $70+ and advance auto had them for $50. I prefer to buy locally if I can and international is the cheapest to get them for me.

I get mine from dieselfiltersonline as well. However, any of you guys check out the pure power website on the reuseable filters they have for our trucks? Anyone heard of anyone using them. They seem to be awesome. Just a big chunk up front. I think I'm gonna go this route in the future for fuel and oil filters.

We have them in stock and ready to ship at a pretty fair price. If your order is over $50, they ship for free. Here is a link.

The best one is the racor filter. They are repackaged by both international and ford for their own parts lines. Other brands of filters have been known to not fit properly.

go with the Racor filters from dieselfiltersonline.com. Seems to be the cheapest and best quality filters that I found
