Going for service with no kitty

I'm having a smoking problem I want them to look at. Smokes when cold and warm.

Took mine in for romping and smoking white smoke at start up. Needed a new FICM. I have no kitty, fixed under warranty, they didn't even question it.

Mine didn't smoke when warm however. Are you gettign white or black smoke when warm? Depending on color, White EGR/EGR Cooler, or Black Injector/s possibly.

Take it in, I don't think you'll have a problem!

Depends on the shop and whether they can find the problem. If not, they may need something to blame the problem on. One of my running issues was because I didn't have the cat on it. I was told without the cat there isn't enough back pressure. As if! I had to weld 4" couplings on my stock cat and put it back on then take it back(with the same problem).

I'd be like
"Uhhh Diesels Don't need back pressure bevis"

Then say.."I also took out the throttle body" is that ok?

I have to do this as well...probably look at adopting a kitty from someone who took there's off and doesn't need to go through emmissions. Anyone out there with one for sale, feel free to PM me!
