Gryphon programmer???

My dad is looking to get a programmer for his 05 F350. He had the Edge Juice w/Additude but did not like it. So he is now looking at getting a Gryphon programmer from Bill at Power Hungry Performance. For those of you who don't know Bill worked for Edge and I believe also SCT in the past.

Does anyone have a Gryphon in their truck or know anyone that does?? Any input?

Thanks Paul

I have 2 of them one on a 7.3 one on a 6.0. Its a Evolution II with custom programming. I like them both. Theres good shifting, and good power. I was'nt after Extreeme amounts of power so I don't know what his extreeme program files are like. I combined the Gryphon and one of his Programmed FICMs, and it brought my mileage back to a respectable 17 mpg(truck weighs 10,300 lbs). Overall I'm very happy, Bill and his wife Cory are top notch in the Customer service dept. They always have been, even when they ran Diesel Power.com

I also had a SCT X3 from ID, It did'nt give me the shifting I was after(constant T/C lockup), but everything else was good.

Comparing the two, the Gryphon is way faster in programming the trucks, and the built in gauges can't be beat. I see alot of SCT users here buy the edge insight for the same gauges.

my $.02
Jeremy

Thanks for the reply Jeremy! What programs did you get from Bill? Do you do alot of towing with your Gryphon tuned 6.0L? If so do you have a towing tune from Bill? The reason that I ask is because about 50% of the time the truck is towing either a 34' 5er or a loaded gooseneck both are usually right around 14,000lbs, the other 50% he is running empty and using the truck as his daily driver.

Just this morning I told dad about ID and the SCT livewire, so he is going to look at that today.

Thanks again!!!
Paul
