well my dually just clicked over 1200 miles and I think I toasted the trans! When I come to a stop, some times it pulls out in 2nd gear, then NEUTRAL drops itself back into 1st and squeals wheels! I love beating on these things!!!!! Time for a rebuild! before the crybabies start posting, NO I am not gonna remove all my HP stuff and try to "snowjob" the dealer into fixing it! to play you must pay......

I don't mean to get into your business, but there are ways to put plenty of power down without destroying stuff. I know you drive it hard and enjoy putting it through its paces, but you should look at some options that will give you the same thrill without costing a few extra K at 1200 miles.

Ford charges 4308.20 for the trans alone then labor so its about 6500 total be prepared.

Its your dime, so its your right to drive the truck the way you wish. I just think it is STUPID as hell to beat on it senseless. Eventually something else is gonna give, you just had the tranny give out at 1200 miles. What do you think might be next to go, motor at 3K, another tranny at 4500?? At that rate your truck will be in the shop longer than you get to enjoy it..

It does still have to learn, but it does learn. I am not even implying buy mine, but after 1200 miles if I dropped a tranny I would be highly irritated. There are more options even than mine that will run good and not scatter a trans. Yes we seem to be able to get more power and still have better shifting, but you do have several options that people are happy with.
I have heard of way to many tranny failures from guys that are in your position.

I would defenetly not spend my money on another ford factory tranny, your gonna blow it just the same, seems like you have the money, so why dont you go to a custom tranny shop and get a bullet proof tranny built for your rig?
