Re: Intake Elbow - Intake Pipe Not Sealing???
[ QUOTE ]
Interesting...I have the same issue. It's quite a bit of oil too. I can't explain why there is oil in the intake. I have my CCV rerouted and no longer into the turbo inlet. There should no other source of oil unless the turbo is leaking.
Anyone know why oil is in our intakes?
Oh, and I agree, the intake elbow doesn't seal very well to intercooler tube....bummer.
Thanks.

Yeah, I was wondering about the oil in the intake too. Figured it was normal but wouldn't mind an explanation by someone in the know.
Well, tonight I loosened the clamp all the way so I could slip it back on the plastic pipe and expose the steel ring that does the sealing against the plastic pipe. Moved that around a bit, repositioned the tube on the elbow inlet and really torqued down the clamp. I think the problem is solved but I will double check tomorrow after some extensive driving and report back.
