Looking to tune the tranny, I think..

I am posting this for my father, as he doesn't have an account here. He as a 2005 F350 supercab, longbox, dually, FX4, 6.0L/torqshift and is currently running the Edge Juice with Attitude. I have heard that the Edge Juice doesn't prove any tranny tuning, and will actually burn-up the tranny. Is this correct??

If so, here are a couple of options that I have told him about. One option that I have heard of is to get the Edge Evolution with just the tranny tunes. Is this a good set-up, Juice with the Evo tranny tunes?

The other option that I told him about is to get a SCT from innovative diesel.

Dad uses the truck for daily driving and also puts on a few thousand miles a year towing their 5th wheel.

What would you guys do??

Re: Looking to tune the tranny, I think..

The Edge Platinum shifted ok for me but it had its glitches that Edge would not correct.
I do like the on the fly controls Edge has, but not the shifting I delt with especially when in towing and using towhaul.
I tried the Edge Evo bad-bad-bad,sct makes the evo for edge but to Edges enginners specs.
I already had the sct Xcal 1 so I asked Eric@ I.D. if he would send me a basic trans only file to load in.
I had to down load the xcal 1 in first and then install the Edge Platinum(stacking) turning off anything to do with the trans with the edge, the shifting is awesum and trouble free.
Even my Ford tech is impressed with the shifting.
I ran this setup 1 1/2 years ago with the Edge Juice but then switched to the Edge Plat that has gauges and trans control.
The gauges are awesum, the trans controls failed,I moniter eng coolant, eng oil, trans temp& pre turbo egt`s,and I have a mech gauge that has boost and post turbo egt`s.
